Child Safety Standards
Last updated: October 29, 2026
QuitUp has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Who QuitUp is for
- QuitUp is only for people aged 18 and over. The app asks for a birth year and blocks people who say they are younger.
- The age check relies on what people tell us, so it cannot be perfect. If we learn that a minor is using the app, we close the account.
How the app limits risk
- Group rooms are text only. There are no private messages, no images, no video and no file sharing.
- Links, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and messaging-app handles are not allowed in messages.
- Messages are filtered on our servers and are deleted automatically within a few days.
What is not allowed
Any content or behavior that sexualizes children, seeks sexual contact with a minor, shares or asks for CSAM, or tries to groom or exploit a child is forbidden. Accounts that do this are removed permanently.
How to report
- In the app: press and hold a message, then choose Report.
- By e-mail: support@quitup.app. You can also write to this address about a concern the app does not cover.
What we do about reports
- Reported messages are hidden when enough people report them, and a copy is kept for a short time so it can be reviewed.
- When we become aware of CSAM or CSAE, we remove the content, close the account, and report it to the relevant authorities as the law requires.
- We follow applicable child safety laws.
